Michelle Fitzpatrick

Michelle Fitzpatrick

As Principal, Michelle brings more than 28 years of top-level experience in A/E/C marketing to Marketivity Inc. Prior to starting Marketivity in 1998, she was Vice President for Corporate Development and Marketing at an ENR ‘Top 50’ E/A/P firm.

 

Having facilitated the creation of hundreds of strategic, marketing and annual plans during her career, Michelle brings expertise, insight and tact to guiding development of strategic and marketing initiatives for Marketivity’s clients, from concept through success. She plays a variety of roles in this process, including researching potential and existing markets, clients and competitors; facilitating planning sessions; and creating specific plans and the processes to execute and monitor them. A gifted trainer and teacher, Michelle also leads compelling staff seminars that motivate employees to develop and hone their marketing skills.


A recognized national speaker, Michelle has delivered numerous seminars on a wide range of marketing and communications topics for numerous industry groups including ACEC, AIA and SMPS. She is in particular demand as a speaker on creating effective strategic, business and marketing plans and market research for A/E/C firms. Michelle’s articles have appeared in many industry newsletters including ACEC’s Dialog, the SMPS Marketer and PSMJ's A/E Rainmaker as well as many general interest publications. 

Katy Potts Hews

Katy Potts Hews,  CPSM

Katy began her A/E/C career over 32 years ago, managing public involvement and community outreach for major environmental studies throughout the west. Though she has applied her outstanding communications and people skills to marketing for many years, as Associate Principal of Marketivity, Inc., Katy brings the perspective of a technical professional to every issue related to strategic planning and marketing.

 

As marketing director for major regional and national E/A and construction firms on both coasts, Katy championed and nurtured major strategic expansions into new geographic and services markets.  Katy is adept at helping Marketivity’s clients not only develop their strategic vision, but also translating that vision into practical, effective business development plans and actions, and creation of marketing structures and systems that assure successful business development. 

 

Having led the successful capture of thousands of projects, Katy is also a highly effective pursuit coach, leading Marketivity’s clients expertly through the business development, proposal and presentation process.

Alicia Bradley Gray

Alicia Bradley Gray

Alicia brings 21 years of varied experience in A/E/C marketing to Marketivity Inc.  She has served as a consultant to various business units and contractor firms on issues ranging from marketing systems to marketing communications to marketing research to must-win pursuits.

 

Alicia spent the majority of the past two decades traveling the country to focus on major project pursuits, either managing or advising on best practices.  She has a special affinity for understanding and strategizing design/build pursuits, having worked with a number of large contractors and their engineer or architect of record on pursuits. She brings a high level of sophistication to any pursuit’s strategy, development and presentation process. She also has a deep understanding of the federal procurement process and is exceptionally skilled in delivering compliant and winning proposals to clients including AFCEE, USACE, NAVFAC, DHS and other Federal/military agencies.

 

Alicia spent a number of years performing research for the A/E industry, elevating its importance as a business planning function.  She focused on research benchmarking, identifying the industry’s next big players and trends, performing due diligence on potential acquisition firms and researching emerging markets for entry.  She has a special talent for finding the right information, analyzing it and distilling the results appropriately for C-level and other audiences, and has presented proven, industry-specific research techniques at a number of SMPS functions.

 

A S S O C I A T E S

In addition to Michelle and Katy, Marketivity’s staff includes three associates, all experienced A/E/C marketers who work with the firm on an as-needed basis. Our associates provide additional support for market research projects, marketing communications programs and graphics.
